From Vision to Reality: An Orlando Event Venue
The Birth of Downtown Danville
Danville is the imaginative creation of Dan Shaw, built with the support of his wife Deborah. Situated on their private airstrip in Geneva, Florida, they transformed an airplane hangar into a Disney-esque streetscape. The hangar’s door was ingeniously converted into a wrap-around porch, revealing the charming town of Danville upon arrival. This unique vision showcases their desire to create something truly different.
Exploring Main Street
As you step into Downtown Danville, you’ll first encounter Lily Marlene’s on Main Street, featuring a sign and façade from a former Church Street Station restaurant in early Orlando. Further along is O’Shaw’s Irish Pub, a fully functional retreat with a 10-foot antique oak bar, stools from Townsend’s Plantation, a gas fireplace, and a dartboard, creating an authentic 1940s pub atmosphere. Across the street, you’ll find Danville City Hall, which serves as Dan’s office. At the end of Main Street is the Danville Inn, where you can spend the night. The balcony provides a perfect vantage point to admire the enchanting view of this quaint little town at night.
